Holy S$&t, I remembered to blog. I haven't done this in so long I hope I can remember how. Hopefully it's like sexing up Oooooooouvre- once you've done it, you never forget how. That, by the way, is what he means when he says he's 'riding his bike'.

So, school is trucking along. I'm trying this new grading system I stole from Glenn Fugett. Every kid on campus plays the all-state audition for a grade and those grades (I break it into 4 parts) become their 2nd semester audition. I love it. There's a lot more to it if you care to know, but that's the gist of it. Here's what I hate. I have to listen to all 160 kids play these things. Each test takes roughly 1 week of class. Man do I miss having an assistant.

My kids are great. You forget how much fun each infant stage is when your older ones leave it. It's fun to watch Big Dadi learn to walk and talk and all that junk. And Recitative gives me a constant narrative of everything. You remember that episode of FG when Peter had his own theme music. It's like that, but not music, narration. "Daddy are you going to the potty? Yes baby, Daddy's going potty. Are you pushing a big poop out? Yes baby, I'm pushing a big poop out. Mommy, daddy's pushing a big poop out!" 14 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I forget every year how much work we do in the fall. I know you are all doing the same thing, but 70 hours a week seems to hit me harder every year. I truly love this time of year. I get as much from marching band as I do from inside band, but it takes more out of me.

I hope we are not equal to ass on Monday night. I'm a little afraid that my kids are going to freak out. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I'll try to be more current now...
